Class profile a class of 19students. Their age range is 12-13. They want to improve speaking and listening activities and study new vocabulary about food.

Aims for the lesson (language/skills/other aims)
   By the of the lesson the students will
  .have developed their speaking skill and ask and answer the questions using vocabulary related to food.
  .Have learnt names of different food and related verbs to food.

Anticipated problems:  Students might not be aware to some vocabulary, while listening, so I will discuss the vocabulary after the first listening.


Materials: Text book- New Inspiration1 .Level A1- A2.  Digital support- power point. Whiteboard. Projector.

I show some pictures of food on the slide and ask  students:
·         What do you see in the picture?
·         What food do you like or dislike?
·         Where can we buy food?

Pair work-to check what words related to food they already know
I ask Ss to work in pairs and tell each other what their favourite food is and what would they buy in the market or shop. I get feedback from the Ss here.

Vocabulary input-to introduce and practise the vocabulary

I use power point slides to teach the vocabulary. I drill the words if necessary.

Freer practice-to memorise the words
a.       I ask students to work in pairs.I tell them to go to page 39 in their Student`s book and match the words with the pictures
b.      Ss work in pairs. S-A says numbers, B responds with the name of the food.

 I play the CD; Ss listen and check if they matched the words correctly.
Ss listen,repeat and write the words in the correct column in the following exercise

Feedback and homework

Students must do the survey: they must ask other ss to tell them things they love,like,don`t like and hate. They can talk about food,music,film stars….
Then they write the results of the survey.
